About Us

RED UNION FILMS

Red Union Films is a Merseyside-based producer of film and TV drama, specialising in highest-quality genre and international arthouse releases.

Established in 2007 by the award-winning soundtrack composer David A. Hughes, author Kevin Sampson and talent manager David Moores Jr, Red Union has championed and continues to look for the UK’s most exciting and distinctive rising talents, including writer-directors Helen Walsh (The Violators) and Jamie Adams (Black Mountain Poets.) The company is particularly intrigued by great stories in which the locality – be it Mallorca, Copenhagen or Partington – is embedded in the narrative. RUF is working across an outstanding new slate of projects for the international film and television market, but our team is ever receptive to a bold and interesting pitch.
